Bon Iver Covers

I'm always reluctant to hear people cover artists' work, but there are two Bon Iver covers that hold their own:

This sweet jazz ensemble cover of "For Emma" is really rad:



and Kierstenmh's "Skinny Love" cover, which surprisingly doesn't suck in the slightest. Let's just leave it at, "don't judge a book by its cover..."

Sexy, playful Spanish music fronted by Gustavo Santaolalla, the dude who wrote all the music for Babel (!!!)

4. Devendra Banhart's Cripple Crow
Recommended track: "Luna de Margarita"
Sounds like dirty, slow sex on a Venezuelan beach — all night long.

5. Beirut's March of the Zapotec
Recommended track: "La Llorona"
Most of this just Condon's singing loosely interrupting a 16-piece bando from Oaxaca, Mexico. Yes!

6. Lily Allen's It's Not Me, It's You
Recommended track: "Never Gonna Happen"
Cure Brit-girl pop. Not as good as Kate Nash, though.
